Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Rules of Engagement iOS app. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
About the App
Rules of Engagement is a guided conversation-card app for couples and people discussing relationship expectations. The app helps users draw prompts, sort topics, capture agreements, and optionally record sessions for later review.
Not Professional Advice
The app is not therapy, mental-health treatment, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or emergency support. The app does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. If you need professional or emergency help, contact a qualified professional or emergency services.
Eligibility and Account Responsibility
You must be old enough to use the app and enter into these terms under the laws that apply to you. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account.
Your Content and Conduct
You are responsible for the information, notes, answers, agreements, recordings, and other content you enter or create in the app. You agree not to use the app to violate law, violate another person's rights, harass or threaten anyone, or record anyone without any required consent.
Optional Recordings
If you use recording features, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required by law or relationship agreements before recording a conversation. You should not record highly sensitive conversations if you are not comfortable storing them in the app or cloud services.
Paid Features and Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription or one-time in-app purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. If you buy an auto-renewing subscription, it renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Restore Purchases in the app can be used to restore eligible purchases on a device signed in to the same Apple ID.
Prices, included features, and trial or promotional offers may change as allowed by law and App Store rules. Refund requests are handled by Apple unless we are required by law to handle them directly.
Safety
Some relationship prompts may discuss sensitive topics. You are responsible for deciding whether a conversation is safe and appropriate for you. Stop using the app or pause a session if a discussion becomes unsafe, coercive, or distressing.
Ownership
Inova Platforms, Inc. owns the app, design, software, trademarks, and app-provided content except for content you enter. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal use.
Apple Terms
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard terms and App Store rules may also apply. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content except as required by applicable law.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inova Platforms, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, relationship outcomes, or other losses arising from or related to your use of the app.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after the effective date of updated terms means you accept the updated terms.
